Ok I can tell some of you dont understand some things about how teenagers think so Im here to help.

You know that "Content Warning" thing that comes up before some blogs? Or you ever see those warnings on some sites that are like the one I put up on this blog? Adults Only Keep Out Or You Will Die etc etc?

Well the meaning of that may seem clear to you but please be aware that to just about everyone I know who is say 13 to 17, what those warnings are very clearly saying is---

YEAH TORCHY JEEEZ.

Seriously. A little hot xxx never hurt anyone. And as much as I really do enjoy your writing style and you calling yourself torchy in the third person... I do get excited when I have to click "I understand - Continue" links... :D

I totally agree. when i was that young i used to laugh at the sites that posted things like that.

Or the ones who asked for your birthday. Like someone that age isn't smart enough to subtract years from their birthyear to make them 18.

I agree its kinda stupid.

even where credit-card-based age confirmation was popular, you could access LOADS of porn. I did, been doing so since i was 15, and have never needed to verify my age...

I dont really understand the age limit thing. It seemed bullshit then, seems the same now.

I must say, though, that I do appreciate the "content warning" page, just as an interception to alert me that it's NSFW. Otherwise I could get into an embarrassing situation when I check my RSS feeds and there are other people around...

But yeah, I've never known of anything like that keeping anyone under 18 out of the site. But some places obviously try (and try too hard), like adultfanfiction.net, where you have to digitally "sign" something confirming who you are and your age.

Then, of course, there's the issue of how high the age limit for pornography is in the US. It's the teenagers under 18 who are more likely to need the porn because they're less likely to be having actual sex. And I've never heard of anyone (which isn't to say that it's never happened) actually being traumatized by viewing hardcore pornography, no matter the person's age.

I suppose it is taking 'reasonable care' to inform your readers where they are going - and to give them the chance to go away - I was going to do a big banner, so you had to scroll down - but just cbf - so you get the big 'fuck off schoolies' sticker, or whatever it says! Yours might be valid - mine is just an 'attractor'!

I guess it's useful for warning those 10 ppl using the internet that actually don't want to see nudity and are easily chocked. But it's not like you accidentally stumble upon porn that often...like I like to pretend I do.

ok, yes, yes, yes, i agree with all that every1's said - any1 who wants to see porn whatever age is just gonna click thru the warning. but - in this day and age of political correctness gone mad, maybe there is another purpose for the warning and that is to protect our own asses and show that at least we've made an attempt to protect 'innocent' folk, whoever they may be.

also, there are zillions of non-sex-related blogs out there, and there is a random blog selector in the blogspot banner. there just *could* be an old lady who's only interested in knitting patterns who turns up on a blog like ours inadvertently. i think it's worth taking a step back and considering the bigger picture. i'm a nice guy (honest) - i want fun and frisky frivolity, but i also wanna do 'the right thing' whatever that is.

torchy really this blog was NOT aimed at you lol. It was just that what you wrote on your blog made me think of it hehe.
Also i agree about the warning thing so that anybody who didn't want to see naked hot men would know not to go there.
But seriously, why WOULDNT someone want to see naked hot men????
Some ppl just confuse me.
